Anti-Bullying Legal Education at TPQ Banar, Deyangan Village: Creating a Safe, Comfortable, and Child-Friendly Learning Environment
Abstract
A safe and comfortable learning environment is every child’s right in accessing education. To create such a conducive environment, every educational institution needs to foster an atmosphere free from all forms of violence and bullying. This community service activity aimed to provide children with an understanding of bullying, its impacts, and prevention efforts to create a safe and comfortable learning environment. One of the issues frequently encountered in educational settings is bullying. At TPQ Banar, Deyangan Village, Mertoyudan Sub-district, where the socialization program was conducted, observations and interviews revealed the potential occurrence of bullying among children. One of the main problems identified was the lack of understanding of what bullying is, its impacts, and the appropriate actions to take when bullying occurs. The method used in this activity was an educational approach involving the delivery of learning materials to children. Based on these issues, the authors concluded that observation and empowerment activities were necessary to improve children's understanding of bullying at TPQ Banar, Deyangan Village, Mertoyudan Sub-district, through a program entitled “Building a Safe and Comfortable Environment Together Against Bullying”.
