Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the understanding of stone carving craftsmen in Sedayu, Muntilan, Magelang Regency, regarding the importance of labor law protection, business legality, and the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3). This activity is a form of commitment to support the creation of a safe, healthy, and dignified work environment, as well as providing legal certainty for business actors and workers so that they are not vulnerable to the risk of work accidents and industrial disputes. Thus, to realize a sustainable and competitive handicraft business ecosystem, it is necessary to have an integrated protection strategy carried out through the arrangement of the clarity of employment relationship status, registration of business legality, and mitigation of hazards at production sites. The implementation of activities is carried out in two stages, namely the preparation stage which is carried out by mapping problems and the implementation stage which is carried out in the form of counseling. The results of the activity show that there is a strengthening of the understanding and awareness of craftsmen regarding the importance of implementing K3 to minimize the risk of accidents and health problems due to work, the fulfillment of rights and obligations in employment relationships, as well as the ownership of business legality as a form of legal certainty and support for business development.
