Abstrak

Developing information technology forces changes to many companies, including increased efficiency and transparency in procurement. Project-based companies operate on customer orders, and their products vary depending on the project. E-procurement can simplify the procurement process, especially for items requiring quick ordering. However, implementing e-procurement is not easy.Based on this, this study aims to identify challenges and barriers in implementing e-procurement through a case study at PT Cahaya Bogeg Utama. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach for the case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants and direct observation. The results indicate that e-procurement implementation at PT Cahaya Bogeg Utama still needs improvement. The main challenges and barriers identified include limited technical knowledge of human resources, suboptimal system integration, and an organizational culture that tends to be resistant to change. Therefore, continuous training and recruitment of skilled staff are needed to optimize this system in the future. This study is limited by the use of a single company as a case study. Therefore, future studies can use multicase studies.
