Abstract

The main focus of this community service is to change the mindset of people who are UMKM entrepreneurs to improve the economy so that partners can understand and take advantage of digital marketing and intellectual property rights as part of business systems and strategies. In addition, partners can carry out commercialization by carrying out correct and efficient intellectual property rights registration procedures, so that the business activities carried out can improve people's lives while protecting their copyrights. This community service method uses an active and interactive participation-based approach by providing counseling, training, and sustainability programs. This pattern places partners more as active participants in an atmosphere of non-formal or attractive activities so that they are able to generate knowledge absorption that provides new innovations for the community, increases productivity during the pandemic, and provides a briefing to partners on the legal aspects of Intellectual Property Rights in Indonesia.

Yordan Gunawan, Faculty of Law, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

Yordan Gunawan is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law. He received Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta and continued his study at the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, Republic of China. Yordan also finished his study at the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland where he got a certificate in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.

He is currently a PhD Researcher at the Department of International Law and International Relations, Faculty of Law, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain.

His research fields are Public International Law, International Disputes Settlement, Law of International Organization, and International Environmental Law.

Yordan also serves as a Chairman of the Association of International Offices of Muhammadiyah Higher Education Institution (ASKUI PTMA) where he leads more than 90 International Offices in Indonesia, following his previous two terms position as a Director of International Relations Office in the University. Mohammad Bima Aoron Hafiz, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta

Mohammad Bima Aoron Hafiz is a manager at the Taiwan Education Centre, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. After finishing his LL.B at the International Program for Law and Sharia, Bima started his career as a staff of Immigration Affairs in the International Office at his alma mater.
