One of the bacteria that can cause infection is Staphylococcus aureus which is a gram-positive bacterium. Moringa leaves contain antioxidants which are secondary metabolites of catechol tannins, triterpenoid tannins, flavonoids, anthraquinone saponins, alkaloids, and reducing sugars. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity of moringa leaf ointment (Moringa oleifera L. ) as an antibacterial for Staphylococcus aureus. This research method uses experimental. The steps that have been carried out include extraction by maceration from the simplicia powder of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera L. ) with 96% ethanol then in a water bath until the extract is thick. Moringa leaf ointment (Moringa oleifera L. ) with a concentration of F1 5%, F2 10%, F315% has met the requirements for good physical properties tests including organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH, adhesion, spreadability and viscosity. The agar medium used was Nutrient Agar (Na) with the Kirby-Bauer method (Disc Diffusion) divided into 5 groups namely base, positive control, negative control, F1, F2, F3. The results of data analysis in this study used SPSS Statistics version 25 which showed a value (p> 0.05) which could be interpreted as data that there was no difference in the inhibition zone affected by Moringa leaf ethanol extract ointment against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria . The best result of the three formulas is F3 15%.
Eka Puspita Puspita Dianita Tiara Kusuma ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-26 2023-12-26 3 2 37 43 10.31603/bphr.v3i2.8674 Tinjauan praktik swamedikasi dan konseling obat tanpa resep di Apotek Kecamatan Tempel https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/bphr/article/view/8625
The use of non-prescription drugs in self-medication efforts has been widely used by the public for minor illnesses. Drugs that are often used for self-medication generally fall into the category of non-prescription drugs. People's behavior in self-medication is influenced by the ease of accessing various information about drugs and is also one of the respondents' considerations in selecting drugs. Pharmacists have an obligation to provide correct information regarding the use of non-prescription medicines. This study aims to determine the opinions of pharmacy respondents regarding non-prescription drug counseling and provide an overview of the implementation of self-medication in the Bantul area. A descriptive research design with a direct survey research method with a sample of pharmacies and patients was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The results of this study show that the three classes of medicines most frequently purchased in the implementation of self-medication are vitamins and supplements (31%), cough and cold medicines (31%), and antipyretic analgesics (25%). Most respondents knew the rules for using drugs (100%), and pharmacists were a factor in selecting drugs (50%). As many as 96% of respondents admitted to reading drug labels when first purchasing. Respondents' opinions regarding counseling showed that there was a large need for non-prescription drug counseling (89%), as many as 61% had received non-prescription drug counseling with a counseling duration of 1–5 minutes.
Lina Anggraini Fitriana Yuliastuti ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 3 2 44 50 10.31603/bphr.v3i2.8625 Formulasi dan evaluasi sediaan masker gel peel-off ekstrak aseton bekatul padi (Oryza sativa) kombinasi dengan minyak atsiri kulit jeruk Bali (Citrus maxima) https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/bphr/article/view/9820
Rice bran (Oryza sativa) is a layer of bran that is separated from the rice during removal during milling. In some literature, it is stated that rice bran has ingredients such as B complex vitamins, B15, vitamin E, protein, minerals, fat, fiber, calcium, essential amino acids and phenolic acids. This study aims to determine the formulation for gel peel-off masks with the active ingredient of rice bran acetone extract combined with grapefruit peel essential oil with concentrations of 5, 10, 15% (F1 without extract and F2, F3 and F4, each extract concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15 %). Physical evaluation of peel-off gel mask preparations was carried out by organoleptic test, pH test, homogeneity test, drying time test, spreadability test, adhesion test; followed by a hedonic (favorite) test. The results of the evaluation of physical properties show that the formulas F1, F2, F3 and F4 have good physical properties and appearance. The hedonic test conducted showed that the panelists liked the peel-off gel mask preparation with the F2 formula the most. Based on this, it can be concluded that, the best formula is F2 ( 5% extract).
Ismanurrahman Hadi Diva Diva Aulia diva Ade Irawan ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2023-12-30 2023-12-30 3 2 51 58 10.31603/bphr.v3i2.9820 Pengetahuan, sikap, persepsi masyarakat dan tenaga kesehatan terhadap obat halal : Literature Review https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/bphr/article/view/8762
Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population, so the halal status of a product is very important in Indonesia.
