Indirectly, to maintain their ranking status, schools generally design various dense academic and non-academic programs, requiring students to give special attention and energy. On the other hand, parents nowadays also tend to have a competitive spirit burdened on their children. One age group particularly susceptible to this situation is teenagers. Exposure to pressure inversely proportional to students' abilities will result in them experiencing low self-esteem (LSE), which if left unaddressed, can lead to depressive and even suicidal conditions. To address LSE, a therapy called "self-adventure" board game therapy is established. This community service activity aims to improve the self-esteem of students at Satya Wacana Christian High School in Salatiga. Therapy is conducted on 57 students who are indicated to have LSE through scoring on the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) questionnaire. Therapy is conducted in four sessions with a group system. At the end of the sessions, all participants entered the category of high self-esteem scores. This means that playing the self-adventure game is an effective medium for resolving LSE issues.
Desi Desi Fiane de Fretes Rosiana Eva Rayanti Marsela Riska Raswandaru ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2024-04-10 2024-04-10 9 3 553 560 10.31603/ce.10847 Counseling on balanced nutrition 'isi piringku' to prevent stunting in toddlers aged 1-5 years https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/ce/article/view/11013
Toddlers are a vulnerable group affected by child nutrition issues, one of which is stunting. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge about balanced nutrition guidelines through the "isi piringku" campaign. The activity is carried out using educational methods, utilizing posters and leaflets as aids for 55 participants. The results of the activity show an increase in knowledge after the "isi piringku" campaign, where before the campaign, the level of good knowledge was only 9.09% and increased to 81.82%.
Imardiani Imardiani Dodik Firnando Triya Cindy Franciska Riska Wulandari Tiara Medira Intan Pramono Wanda Hamidah Suci Romadhona Indah Tri Lestari Intan Nurmala ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2024-03-31 2024-03-31 9 3 561 567 10.31603/ce.11013 Education on detection of dangerous additives in foods for elementary school students in Bogor https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/ce/article/view/11093
Elementary school children generally start to be able to choose the foods they want. However, when selecting foods, they tend to choose visually appealing, inexpensive, and easily accessible foods without considering their nutritional content. This makes elementary school children vulnerable to health problems due to unhealthy snacks. The aim of this community service activity is to increase students' knowledge about dangerous snacks and how to detect them, provide examples of healthy alternatives from medicinal plants, and practice making food and drinks from medicinal plants. This educational activity is conducted at Athalla Cendekia Elementary School in Bogor. The method used in this community service activity is delivering materials and practicing the detection of additives such as rhodamine-b, formalin, and borax in several snack food samples around the school. Some of the snack foods tested include sausages, meatballs, sauces, fried tofu, fried meatballs, jelly, and sweetened condensed milk. Testing is carried out using reagent kits, and all 6th-grade students (25 students) are actively involved in the implementation process. Food and drink processing are conducted through direct practice in the manufacturing process and direct practice in the planting process of medicinal plants. The results of the activity show that the training proceeds attractively, with each child recording the test results in a testing booklet and being able to present the test results. Some foods tested positive for containing formalin, while some tested negative. With this education and training on detecting additives, students' knowledge increases as they can identify the types of foods containing harmful additives in the tested samples.
Esti Mulatsari Diah Kartika Pratami Intan Permata Sari Esti Mumpuni Anisah Kholilah Alifah Wardah Zahiroh Roro Dyah Ayu Safi La'rosa Linson Queeny Rizqya Cahya Handayani Widiya Chourinisa Iqbal Ananda Taqwa Nadira Zahra Salsabila ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2024-03-31 2024-03-31 9 3 568 575 10.31603/ce.11093 Exploration of the toponymy of Terentang Village, West Bangka as an effort to preserve culture https://journal.unimma.ac.id/index.php/ce/article/view/11250
The issue at hand is the low level of knowledge among the community regarding the origin of Terentang Village.
