Borobudur Law and Society Journal

This policy applies to the principal editor, associate editors, members of the editorial team, and reviewers.

  1. A manuscript submitted by the principal editor, an associate editor, or any editor involved in the decision is handled by an editor or board member who has no relationship with the authors. The submitting editor must not be assigned to, and must not have access to, the reviewer identities, reports, or decision for their own manuscript.
  2. Editors do not decide on manuscripts of colleagues in the same unit or of co-authors from the last three years. They declare the relationship and are replaced.
  3. Reviewers decline manuscripts where they have competitive, collaborative, financial, or institutional relationships with an author.
  4. When an article is written by a member of the editorial team, the journal records that the editor was not involved in its review or decision.
  5. To keep the journal open to the wider community, BLASTAL aims for no more than 10% of articles per year to come from the editorial team.
