Abstract
Stunting is a critical public health issue characterized by linear growth in children below the normal standard, typically resulting from chronic malnutrition from the prenatal period up to the first two years of life. This community service program aimed to improve community knowledge regarding stunting prevention through balanced nutrition guidelines. The intervention utilized a social marketing approach employing flipchart media in Kabba Village, Pangkep Regency. The activity involved 25 participants (homemakers and community leaders) who attended interactive lectures facilitated by the flipchart media. The results demonstrate a significant knowledge gain: the proportion of participants categorized as having "good" knowledge increased from 52% in the pre-test to 84% in the post-test. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.003 (<0.005), indicating a statistically significant difference in knowledge before and after the intervention. The flipchart medium proved effective in delivering balanced nutrition material in a visually appealing and interactive manner, successfully enhancing participant understanding and fostering positive attitudes toward stunting prevention. Therefore, a social marketing approach leveraging interactive visual media can serve as a sustainable strategy for community health education programs, particularly for stunting prevention at the grassroots level.
