Abstract
A cooperative is a business entity consisting of people or cooperative legal entities. As a business entity, prospective members must have sufficient knowledge about the business entity they want to enter. When cooperative members have a good understanding of cooperatives, it impacts both their contributory and incentive participation (dual identity of members). To increase the cooperative knowledge of the students, instruction is delivered through lectures and discussions. Pre-tests and post-tests are also conducted to measure the increase in knowledge of prospective members before and after the training. The results show an increase in the cooperative knowledge of prospective members such that they resolve to actively participate in cooperatives later.
