Abstract

This service aims to assist English teachers to analyze the need for Classroom Action Research (CAR) and developing English teaching materials at the junior high school level. This CAR research not only provides functional benefits for teachers in achieving career advancement but also provides a forum for teachers to improve the learning quality in the classroom. Therefore, service activities are carried out through mentoring and training English teachers in designing, implementing, and writing CAR reports, as well as strengthening their ability to design adequate learning materials. After two months of mentoring, the results of the activity showed an increase in the teacher’s mastery of CAR and material development by 100%. The same thing was conveyed by students who gave positive and good perceptions (73%) and very good acceptance attitudes (27%) of the teacher’s quality after the mentorship.
