About 5 years ago (2020), the Editor-in-Chief received an 'Excellent in Writing Publication' award from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Mahidol University, Thailand.

Sumarno Adi Subrata Ph.D., as Editor-in-Chief of IHS, was honoured with an outstanding recognition at the Journal of Wound Care Awards 2024 in the Pressure Care category.

Recently, he received the award for 'Continence and Urology Nurse of the Year' from the British Journal of Nursing in 2025, recognizing his outstanding achievements in the field of Urological Nursing.

IHS received journal accreditation (SINTA 4) from the ARJUNA.
