Rachmadian Wulandana, Ph.D., was an alumni of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1992. While studying at ITB, he was active in the Civil Engineering Student Association. In 1993, he continued his education in the Master's Program in Mechanical Engineering Studies at the University of Pittsburg and graduated in 1994. Still at the same University, in 2003 he earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Studies. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor for the Mechanical Engineering Program at the State of New York (SUNY) New Paltz, New York, USA. He was also a lecturer at Wright State University from 2013 to 2016 and a researcher at the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, University of Pittsburgh from September 2010 to July 2013. His engineering expertise includes Thermodynamics, Thermal System Designs, Fluid Dynamics, and Heat Transfer. In addition, he has research interests in the fields of vortex-induced blade-less turbines and Tesla turbines for renewable energy applications, thermoelectric semiconductors for cooling, and supercritical carbon dioxide and refrigerants for green power generation. Currently, he is active in several international journals as an editorial board member and also as the coordinator of the Indonesian Diaspora in the United States.
