Peran Strategis Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kota Magelang dalam Menumbuhkembangkan Inovasi Daerah

Abstract

The city of Magelang has limited area of ​​18.12 km2 and the absence of natural resources which certainly becomes its own permalasahan in improving regional competitiveness. Local Government needs to set up Regional Device Organizations (OPD) that have capacity in leveraging regional competitiveness as stated in Law Number 23 of 2014 on Regional Government in Article 216. The Government of Magelang Municipality has taken advantage of the opportunity as well as answer the above challenges with the formation of the Agency OPD Research and Development based on Local Regulation of City of Magelang Number 3 Year 2016 concerning Formation and Composition of Regional Device. This study aims to determine the strategic role of Research and Development Agency of Magelang City in the innovation area. This research is conducted literature study method and regulation. The data obtained are then analyzed qualitatively to describe the results of the research. Achievement of this research is in the form of information of strategic role of Research and Development Agency in management of innovation area in terms of institutional, existing condition and planning of program / activity to come
